Sip and Savor St. Patrick’s Day

A far cry from artificial dyes and sugars and hydrogenated oils, we've healthified (and yum-ified) some St. Patrick's Day staples!

While we haven’t quite cracked the code for beets-in-lieu-of-beer, we have rounded up our favorite ways to toast St. Patrick without loading up on sugar bombs and greasy oil slicks.

First up, a not only delicious but sneakily vegan re-vamp of classic Shepherd’s Pie. While the original is a casserole of beef or lamb with plenty of onions and cheese, we’ve brightened the recipe while keeping the savory goodness intact. A perfect way to celebrate the holiday with the whole family, our Curried Vegan Shepherd’s Pie is packed with satiating potatoes and lentils. And don’t worry, we knew better than to sacrifice that golden, crispy crust.

A spicier version of traditional mashed potatoes, our vibrant Beet & Potato Mash incorporates the warming essence of our Sweetfire Marinated Baby Beets into mashed potatoes. The result? A balanced bite of creamy and spicy with every forkful!

The true star of our wellness-focused St. Patrick’s Day recipe roundup is our own “Shamrock Shake.” Not only have we eliminated unpronounceable ingredients and over a day’s worth of sugar and fat, but we’ve maintained that craveable creamy mouthfeel and addicting minty finish. Plus serious superfood action in the form of spirulina, spinach, beets, and coconut milk – good thing our version isn’t “limited time only!”
